Service Availability
Clinical assessments are currently offered
only in Virginia to clients, residents, and agencies. Information for neighboring states (NC, DC, MD, etc.) will be released throughout the year.

Assessment Methods

  • Conducted via telehealth using clinical interviewing skills and techniques.
  • Available in-person on a case-by-case basis, with an additional travel and expenses fee.

What Assessments Include

  • Comprehensive clinical evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for:
  • Behavioral and developmental conditions
  • Mental health disorders
  • Substance use disorders
  • In-depth psychosocial summaries, symptom analysis, treatment plan objectives, and crisis safety plans to establish a baseline of care.
  • Optional self-administered questionnaires (for an additional fee), such as:
  • PHQ-9
  • GAD-7
  • DAST-10
  • CAGE Questionnaire
  • SASSI
  • ASSIST
  • TAPS
  • Beck Depression Inventory (BDI)

Service Eligibility Support
Assessments can be tailored to meet documentation needs for the following services in Virginia:

  • Mental Health Skill-Building (MHS)
  • Intensive In-Home (IIH)
  • Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
  • Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP)
  • Outpatient Therapy (OT)
  • And more

Documentation & Delivery Timeline

  • After the initial assessment (telehealth or in-person), documentation is delivered via email within 3–5 business days.
  • More in-depth assessments may take 7–10 business days to complete.
  • Additional documentation for Medicaid or private insurance authorization is available for an additional fee.

Fees & Scheduling

  • Initial consultation fee: $50
  • Assessment fee: Starting at $450
    (Fees may vary based on assessment complexity, additional testing, and documentation requirements)
  • All assessments are scheduled and contracted on a case-by-case basis.
